Liquid users (I was one) were disappointed in it because it lacked a lot of the features that made Liquid a compelling choice in editing. Avid eventually killed Liquid (a direct Media Composer editor originally from FAST) and started development on Avid Studio, a replacement for Liquid. First, Avid bought Pinnacle 2005 around the time when Studio 10 and Edition were available.
